Mullin scores committee approval to head DHS

Sen. Markwayne Mullin's nomination for the position of Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Chairman, Rand Paul, has been approved despite opposition from the public. The 8-7 vote indicates that Mullin would replace Kristi Noem as the next Homeland Security secretary. The vote was split between Republicans and Democrats, with Paul voting "no".
