Wichita police have arrested 30-year-old Wesley Roberts after an eight-day manhunt. The suspect was reportedly tired of hiding due to the pressure put on the police. Tyson Case, a fugitive recovery agent with Case Bail Bonds, facilitated Roberts' surrender. Despite initially calling out Roberts' name during the standoff, it turned out he was not home at the time. The police used the appropriate force necessary to take Roberts into custody, according to Public Information Officer Andrew Ford. While police believe they were close to finding Roberts, Roberts' best friend, Logan Johnson, disagrees, arguing that the situation was handled poorly.
