The second vaccine is being offered after a fatal meningitis B outbreak in Kent, which resulted in 20 confirmed cases and resulted in the deaths of sixth-form pupil Juliette Kenny, 18, and a 21-year-old student from the University of Kent. Almost 12,000 people are eligible for the second vaccine, and students from four schools where there were confirmed or probable cases will be offered the jab at school.
