4 Injured As Gas Line Explodes, Destroys Home In Newark, Reports Say

A natural gas line exploded in Newark, New Jersey, causing four people to be injured. The explosion occurred about 12:20 p.m. on Magazine Street. The workers had been incorrectly informed about the shutoff and resealed the line, causing pressure to build up. The injuries were not life-threatening. The Red Cross has provided 22 people in 13 families with temporary housing, food, and other assistance.
