British pop star RAYE, known for her soulful pop style and pop iconography, has undergone a transformation from her early days in the industry. She first signed with Polydor Records in 2014 and spent years under the power of the label, largely due to her songwriter's influence on artists like Beyoncé, Charli xcx, and Ellie Goulding. However, she felt powerless when her music was not widely available. She eventually made a breakthrough with her debut album, My 21st Century Blues in 2023, and now has a second album, This Music May Contain Hope. She also has tattoos of the British, Swiss and Ghanaian flags on her forearm to represent her heritage. Her music is currently opening on her tour with her younger sisters, Amma and Sarah.
