The Bock Fest and Wurst Fest in Louisville, Kentucky, has been a popular event for small businesses and farmers facing tough economic times. The event, which opened its doors to hundreds of people, featured 200 vendors, a day of food, beer, shopping, and goat races. The increased foot traffic has benefited small business owners who live in the area. One of the main draws for visitors is the goat races, which are sponsored by local businesses and organizations and are watched by volunteers from the farming community. Guy Coombs, who owns Jericho Acres Dairy in Henry County, has also been part of the festival since 2021, where his farm sells ice cream out of their farm-based ice cream shop. The festival is an example of how farmers have diversified their income through agritourism.
