Autism Speaks walk draws crowd to Zoo Miami

The annual walk and 5K run for Autism Speaks has been held at Zoo Miami in southwest Miami-Dade for 21 years. This year marked a first time the event was held at the zoo. After the race, participants were led by José Gregorisch, a volunteer with the organization and the fire marshal for the city of Miramar, who shared his personal journey after being diagnosed with autism. The event highlighted the importance of support beyond age 22 for families with loved ones on the autism spectrum.
