Child focus is biggest change to family courts in 30 years, senior judge says

The focus on child matters has led to longer delays in resolving cases that can lead to traumatic experiences for parents and children. The independent Children and Court Advisory Service (Cafcass) estimates it will require 200 additional social workers to manage the new approach. However, the Association of Lawyers for Children has called for greater reform and increased funding for the legal aid scheme.
