Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers put CNN photojournalist Cyril Theophilos in a chokehold and detained him and a group of journalists in the West Bank town of Tayasir for two hours. The incident occurred amid a growing trend of Israeli settler violence against Palestinians in the area. The IDF has stated that the actions and behavior of these soldiers are incompatible with what it is expected of its soldiers.
