His attorney, Melissa Ramos, claimed that he did not directly benefit from the scheme. However, Florida prosecutors dismissed this claim in court. The discounts cost the company $4.3 million and resulted in increased bonuses for Jimenez's sales. Jimenez could face charges of organized fraud of $50,000 or more and first-degree grand theft. He was released on $15,000 bond provided he stayed away from the store where he worked.
