Actress Olivia Munn was diagnosed with stage one breast cancer through a free online risk assessment tool. Prior to this, Munn had no symptoms and had a clear mammogram and a clear ultrasound. The assessment revealed a high lifetime risk of 37.3, and after undergoing five surgeries, she discovered her diagnosis. Munn publicly shared her condition in March 2024 to encourage other women to assess their health risks. She credits her husband, comedian and actor John Mulaney, for his support during her treatment. Despite facing challenging side effects from hormone therapy medications, Munan remains committed to raising public awareness about breast cancer.
