Jorge Aguilar Martinez, a Honduran national, has been sentenced to 54 months in federal prison for his role in a major drug trafficking case and for illegally returning to the United States after being removed. According to court records, Martinez helped connect a customer with suppliers who claimed they could provide large quantities of methamphetamine and fentanyl pills. He and two co-conspirators were arrested with about 28 pounds of methamphetamine hidden in cereal boxes. The judge stated that Martinez was motivated by profit, despite the harm caused by fentanyl.
