The FBI is investigating a social media post promoting the death of President Donald Trump, made by the owner of a Minocqua brewery, Kirk Bangstad, following the shooting at the White House correspondents' dinner in Washington, D.C. After the shooting, Bangstad posted a message on Facebook that "either a brother or sister in the Resistance needs to work on their marksmanship or he faked another assassination to get a positive news cycle." The Democratic Party of Wisconsin has criticized the social media posting, which was made after the shooting. An FBI spokesperson confirmed the investigation to WISN 12 News. The FBI and Secret Service have conducted further investigative steps, including a voluntary interview with Bangstad.
