Updated timeline as Lakers’ Luka Doncic begins return-to-play protocol

Luka Doncic, a 19-year-old Slovenian basketball player, has begun his return-to-play protocol after suffering a Grade 2 hamstring strain on April 2. The original recovery timeline was four to eight weeks. Despite this, Doncick has begun ramping up his recovery and has yet to be upgraded to one-on-one action yet. This threshold is crucial as Austin Reaves recently returned from an oblique injury and if Doncich's progression continues to improve, his potential return to play could rapidly increase. However, the Lakers' focus is on winning and surviving in the postseason, so Doncicc can make an impact later in the series.
