On his HBO program "Real Time," social commentator Bill Maher criticised CEOs such as Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Palantir founder Peter Thiel, Sam Altman of OpenAI, and Dario Amodei of Anthropic. He called them "on the spectrum" and "sociopaths" and warned that AI could potentially get out of control. Maher also highlighted several safety concerns with AI, including some destructive outbursts and a potential for the general public to commit suicide. He suggested that rather than advancing AI, perhaps it's better to take a few steps back.
