Christa Miller, a 61-year-old actress who appeared on Seinfeld and The Drew Carey Show, has a unique claim to fame that helped her land a starring role on the show. She made her first brief appearance on Seine in 1993 and returned in a larger role in 2004, where she had more screen time and comedic beats. In 1995, she was in the final stages of auditioning for The DrewCare Show, but executives at ABC were initially hesitant, believing she might be "too green". Miller contacted the show's co-creator, Larry David, to obtain unaired Seinfeld footage to prove her skills. She returned the tape and managed to land her role as Kate O’Brien on TheDouglas.
