The community of Danvers, Massachusetts is mourning the loss of Janet Swallow, 68, who was found murdered in her home on Thursday. The victim, who leaves behind two sons, worked at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center and was remembered for her kindness and love for her family. Anthony DeMayo, a senior at Bishop Fenwick High School in Peabody, is facing a murder charge in connection with her death and is being held without bail without bail and will undergo a 20-day evaluation at Bridgewater State Hospital. The death investigation began after a 911 call from a resident reported seeing a young man with a knife walking along Standard Street with a 6-inch blade and pretending to be a person. Prosecutors believe that Demayo acted alone and that there was no evidence of a robbery or connection between the victim and the suspect.
