Three of Denver Mayor Mike Johnston's top political appointees, three of whom have been named in a federal lawsuit alleging retaliation for highlighting concerns over the city's Park Hill Golf Course land swap and its decision to vote down an airport lease with Key Lime Air. The complaint accuses the City and County of Denver, City Attorney Michiko Brown, Chief Financial Officer Nicole Doheny and Johnston’s chief strategist Jeff Dolan of violating FAA revenue diversion rule. The lawsuit also alleges that the city had ambitions to remove Airport CEO Phil Washington. The city and defendants deny these allegations.
