Crossing fees announced for new Gordie Howe International Bridge

The Gordie Howe International Bridge has announced its crossing fees for the Detroit-Windsward crossing point, which are lower than the prices at the Ambassador Bridge. Small and medium-sized passenger vehicles will cost $5.75 per axle, while large passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles will pay $8.75. The announcement comes as the Gordie Howell International Bridge's opening date is expected soon. This comes amid concerns from President Donald Trump that Canada may delay the opening of the bridge if it doesn't receive "at least one half" of its ownership. The bridge will cover 1.6 miles and use six lanes to connect I-75 with Highway 401 in Canada.
