A recent survey by Gallup found that 55 percent of respondents view their personal financial situation as getting worse, a new high dating back to 2001. The survey was conducted from April 1-15 for the firm's annual Economy and Personal Finance survey. This is higher than the previous high of 53 percent. The cost of gasoline also increased by 18.9 percent following the U.S.-Israeli war with Iran, which led to increased gas prices. Other top financial concerns included high cost of living and inflation, and the cost of owning or renting a home as well as healthcare costs.
