Saudi Arabia's oil output has been significantly reduced due to Iran's recent attack on the East-West pipeline, which carries crude oil from processing facilities near the Persian Gulf to an export terminal on the Red Sea. The pipeline has been Saudi Arabia's main way to export crude oil during the Iran war. The country cannot export through the Strait of Hormuz due to Iranian attacks. The U.S. and Iran agreed to a two-week ceasefire in exchange for Iran allowing ships to pass through the strait, but the Strait remains effectively closed to traffic. The disruption of global oil supplies will exacerbate the ongoing conflict between Iran and the United Arab Emirates.
