A 19-year-old man was shot by Michigan State Police after a brief police chase in Inkster that resulted in a fatal crash that killed another driver. Troopers were preparing to execute a search warrant at a home where a man allegedly fled them with a female passenger and ran a red light at Middlebelt Road and Parkwood Street, striking another vehicle. The driver of the struck vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. Two handguns were recovered from the suspect, and the suspect may be connected to the shooting deaths of two teens. The troopers involved in the incident have been placed on administrative leave.
