Tested: Lexar's secure SSD unlocks with your iPhone

Lexar's TouchLock Portable SSD, a solid-state storage device that focuses on smartphones and mobile devices, has been tested for its ability to lock and unlock an iPhone using NFC (Near Field Communication) technology. The TouchLock, which costs $99.99/£69.99, is designed to work with Macs and PCs as well as mobile devices. It also includes MagSafe compatibility for iPhone users. The compact design makes it small enough to attach directly to an iPhone when backing up photos or video files. Despite not being the fastest portable SSD available, the TouchLock can still handle direct recording of Apple ProRes video at 4K resolution and 60 frames per second. It can only be unlocked using the Lexar app on an iPhone or Android.
