Canada may use retired police officers to seize firearms from gun owners during a door-to-door confiscation, according to a senior official from the country's Department of Public Safety. This follows the implementation of legislation introduced by then-Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to freeze handgun purchases and a "buy-back" of military-style semi-automatic firearms.
