The city continues to see solid tourism growth, driven by its river recreation, lower prices and slower pace compared to Las Vegas. Visitors from Colorado and Las Vegas have identified Laughlin's smaller-town feel as a better fit. Laughlin’s visitor volume was down slightly in February compared to the same month a year earlier, but in January, it was up 6.5%. The growth is attributed to a rising “outbound” tourist population from Las Vegas looking for nearby, affordable getaways. However, more travelers are now looking for ways to save.
