A newborn infant was discovered in a brown paper bag in a shopping cart by a movie theater at Westgate Mall in 1972, more than five decades ago. Now, Pearl Marshall, Darlene Gilleland and Rita Abers, who discovered the infant, reunited last summer. The reunion was an emotional reunion, with Gillelander describing the moment as "almost unreal." The baby's identity remained a mystery for more than 50 years. Marshall, now a handbell teacher and mother-to-me educator, managed to locate the women through their son's son. The infant was placed in the care of child services and later adopted by Gillelands.
