A 67-year-old man has been arrested in Tennessee for the 1977 murder of a Kenosha factory worker, Ralph Gianoli, after DNA evidence linked him to the case. The case remained unsolved for nearly five decades before detectives, working with the Wisconsin Department of Justice and the FBI, used new technology to identify Fowler as a suspect. Investigators said Fowler was 19 years old and on leave from the Great Lakes Naval Training Center when the killing occurred. He was convicted of murdering his father six years later in 1983. The victim's niece, Carla Gianoli-Smith, expressed mixed emotions about the arrest.
