This has led to a surge in local support efforts to assist affected workers. Despite the financial strain, TSA officers have maintained airport security operations without disruption. However, several commissioners called the situation unacceptable, calling the TSA agents 'political pawns' and 'political gamesmanship'. Nearly $65,000 in donated goods have been provided by individuals, businesses, and nonprofit groups, including food, household items, and gift cards. The Port of Seattle also addressed concerns about potential federal enforcement presence at airport checkpoints and stated that airport operations remain stable.
