Ride-share company, Lime, is bringing seated electric scooters to Portland starting Wednesday. The company will deploy 250 of these "LimeGliders" to replace its existing scooters. A launch event will take place at a designated spot in a protected bike lane. The glider has smaller-diameter wheels than Lime's e-bikes and a step-through frame, making it accessible to more riders. Under Oregon law, e-scooter riders must wear helmets and are not allowed to ride on sidewalks.
