Despite her efforts to contact Xavier over the radio, Terri was determined to reunite with her husband, Xavier Collins, and Gary, who believed Teri had been kidnapped. However, Xavier was made to believe Teri was kidnapped, leading him to team up with Gary to plan to free her. Gary's story was revealed that he had romantic feelings for Teri and despite not crossing a boundary, when Ennis warned that she’d eventually leave, Gary shot and killed his best friend, Gary. The episode ended with a moment of desperation where a young boy whom Gary had taken into the bunker was seen as a potential danger.
