Sharon Hildebrand has been elected as the new Chief and Chairman of the Tanana Chiefs Conference (TCC), following a four-day convention in Fairbanks, Alaska. She defeated two other candidates, Darrell Hildebard and Brian Ridley, who had served as Chief/Chairman since 2022. The new chief/chairman will serve as the Chief Executive Officer for the organization, providing leadership for its operations and representing its interests on a regional, state, and national level. Hildemand, who hails from Nulato along the Yukon River, spoke at the convention about creating real change for TCC members and expressing her belief in the Alaskan spirit of traditional values.
