One client is expanding a food processing plant to be able to import machinery at lower U.S. tariffs. However, this could risk re-imposing by the time the products arrive, as the U.K. tariff regime is set to remain in place until July. The Supreme Court's decision to lower tariffs could provide a window of opportunity for some Chinese factories. The ruling also allows Chinese exporters to ship more goods quickly to secure the lower tariff exposure. Despite this, China's shipments to the U., which fell 20% in 2025, remains a top export destination.
