The development involved hundreds of variations over five years, with Whang describing the headband, the case, and cushion that hold the AirPod Max comfortably in people's ears. He also revealed the reason for not having an Apple logo on the product, stating that they didn't want to brand their head. Whang described the process as a process that involved experimenting with hundreds of thousands of variations. He left Apple shortly after Jony Ive did and later worked for J.androFrom, where he worked on a range of projects from technology to interior design.
