My brother and sister-in-law invited my family of four for a dinner of corned beef and cabbage to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, but my aunt, who does not like corned Beef and cabbage, decided to cancel the dinner due to a disagreement over the food. Miss Manners suggests that while some people dislike the cored beef, others who do not like it, others may prefer pizza. She also suggests that those who do like pizza should be praised for their contribution to the meal. The author also notes that when determining the anniversary of a dating couple's first kiss, it should be counted from the first date or from when they became an official couple.
