Bishop Moore, Orangewood, and Bishop Moore are the top seeds in the Class 4A, District 2 baseball playoffs. The Hornets, who have won 10 consecutive district titles, are ranked 22-2 and are the No. 2 4A team in the state. Their only losses came against Class 7A teams Hagerty and Winter Park. Meanwhile, Orangerewood has won 19 games, but lost two consecutive games to Bishop Moore and Class 2A Lake Highland Prep. The Florida High School Athletic Association allows schools to vote by majority on district format preference, allowing Bishop Moore to play all district games at Mount Dora, which is the second seed. The district quarterfinals will continue for Friday-Saturday games, May 8-9, with the higher ranked team hosting all games.
