Markwayne Mullin, a member of the Cherokee Nation, has been nominated to lead the Department of Homeland Security, following Kristi Noem's refusal to answer a hearing question about her alleged affair with her adviser, Corey Lewandowski, and a $220 million ad campaign that looked like a political ad campaign were among the concerns for President Donald Trump. These concerns were raised when Sen. John Kennedy of Louisiana asked if Trump had approved of this $220m ad campaign, which she claimed was approved, which incensed Trump. Noem also faced criticism for her handling of the death of Alex Prettie, when he was shot and killed by Border Patrol in Minnesota. However, there is expected to be a change in rhetoric regarding deporting people who are here illegally, but the overall mission is still to be the mass deportation effort of those here illegally.
