Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, the 1940-set Peaking Blinders, has an explosive ending in which Tommy Shelby is fatally shot while thwarting a Nazi plot to defeat Britain and end the war for Germany. The film, written by show creator Steven Knight, saw Tommy Shelby's story come full circle, with his eldest son Duke Shelby (Barry Keoghan) leading the Peaky Blakers. Despite Murphy's admission that Tommy's demise was inevitable, he believes this is a fitting ending for the character. The movie, now available on Netflix, also features a new Ghost of the Bride, featuring a new cast of actors including Halle Berry, Mark Ruffalo, Monica Barbaro, and Barry Keogh. Other notable new movies include an adaptation of Emily Brontë's classic novel, an animated comedy about an animal lover who uses technology to communicate with animals.
