Experts from the University of Wolverhampton and University of Lancashire are working on a new project called AgenticDeviceShield, a form of cyber defence that lives directly on mobile devices. The project aims to protect phone users from scams, spyware, and digital fraud without sending personal data to the cloud. The system is powered by agentic AI, which can act independently and respond to cyber threats in real time. It also includes on-demand monitoring and alerts for users when the device is offline or in areas with poor signal.
