Jordan: Nation may be at point where president, top aides can’t be in same ballroom

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) has suggested that the U.S. might become so restrictive that the president, vice president, and most of the Cabinet cannot be in the same ballroom following the shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner. The White House press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, blamed the incident on a systemic demonization of President Trump and his supporters by commentators, politicians, and some in the media. Speaker Mike Johnson (R) also commented on security at the dinner, stating it appeared "lax".
