ICE agents expected to arrive at Philadelphia airport Monday

President Trump has announced that ICE agents will be sent to several U.S. airports, including Philadelphia International Airport, where several security checkpoints have been closed due to staffing shortages. This comes amid a partial Department of Homeland Security shutdown, where TSA agents have gone more than five weeks without pay. While there have been some security delays, these have largely avoided hours-long wait times like those in New Orleans and Atlanta. The issue is due to a political standoff over funding for the Department of Energy and Enforcement.
