Google has updated its spam reporting documentation to clarify that spam reports are not completely confidential and that personal identifiable information can be shared with spammy sites receiving a manual action. The change was made following feedback from users about personal information contained in the spam report. The update includes a new notice that any spam reports containing personal information will not be processed. This means that if you're submitting spam reports to Google, don't name your site, business name, personal name or anything else you don't want the affected spammer to know.
