Winter weather advisory extended for Puget Sound foothills through Saturday morning

A winter weather advisory has been extended for the foothills of the east side of Puget Sound, with an additional 1 to 4" of snow expected. This is expected to occur above 500' in southern King and northern Pierce Counties, creating slippery and wet driving. The lower elevation will be slightly warmer and wetter, depending on elevation. The WINTER STORM WARNING remains in place for the Olympics and Cascades, causing travel disruptions. The 48-hour storm totals are expected to reach 1-4 feet by the end of Saturday afternoon.
