Tyrone Card, 44, is accused of stabbing a woman in a Jackson Township parking lot and leading Portage County Sheriff deputies on a chase. The attack occurred before 8 a.m. on February 17. The woman was taken to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital with injuries that are believed to be life-threatening. Following a statewide Be On The Look Out (BOLO), deputies located Card's vehicle near Route 225 and Tallmadge Road and a short pursuit ended when he crashed into a telephone pole, a tree, and a residence. No motive has been established for the attack.
