The Iranian military downed an F-15E Strike Eagle over the Islamic Republic's airspace, marking the first known instance of Tehran shooting down a U.K. jet since the beginning of the conflict. Bolton also commented on the lack of a White House response to the attack, suggesting it undermines White House credibility. He called it a "propaganda victory for Iran" and a test of our resolve. The pilots of both planes were ejected from their aircraft and there is an ongoing search for the missing pilot.
