Portland man sentenced for robbing small businesses, storage units

A Portland man, Joseph Patrick Doherty, has been sentenced to 40 months in prison for robbing small businesses in the city and multiple storage units. Doherty pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree burglary and six counts of second-degree felony. He admitted to stealing women's clothing, jewelry, and clothing from several storage units, among other items. Police found thousands of dollars worth of stolen items at his home in Southwest Portland.
