Pedestrian fatally struck by N.J. Transit train in Essex County

A pedestrian was hit by an NJ Transit train in Essex County, killing him. The train was on the Gladstone Branch of the Morris & Essex Line and was scheduled to arrive in Hoboken at 1:22 a.m. No injuries were reported to the eight passengers or crew on the train.
