Stephen A. Smith sounds off on Olympic trans ban, says ‘no excuse’ for biological men to compete with women

ESPN star Stephen A. Smith has stated that biological men should not be competing against biological girls in sports, and that there is no excuse for this. He also mentioned former University of Pennsylvania swimmer Lia Thomas, who was ranked over 400th in the world when he became a woman, as an example. Smith's comments came during an appearance on "Real Time with Bill Maher" and followed a trend of anti-transgender athletes competing in girls and women's sports. The comments came shortly after President Donald Trump signed the "Keeping Men Out of Women's Sports" executive order, which directed federal agencies to interpret Title IX based on biological sex at birth.
