Thousands of teachers gathered at the state Capitol in Raleigh, North Carolina, demanding higher pay following a report by the National Educators Association that ranked North Carolina 43rd in teacher salary. The rally was led by the North Carolina Association of Educators and was called the "Kids Over Corporations"
