Sirens expecting historic night at Garden to reignite season: ‘We’re all excited’

The Sirens are preparing for a historic game at Madison Square Garden, set to be the first women’s professional hockey game at the iconic arena. The game is set to feature the Seattle Torrent, a team with many familiar faces including ex-Sirens Alex Carpenter and Corrine Schroeder. The event is expected to set a U.S. attendance record for women”s professional football, surpassing the Torrent’ previous record-setting crowd of 17,335 at Climate Pledge Arena in February. The Sirens, currently sixth in the standings, are hoping this will revitalize their season after missing the postseason in each of their first two seasons.
