DubDubai-based port operator DP World has confirmed that its Jebel Ali port is fully operational, with no infrastructure damage and inbound vessel traffic reduced due to the ongoing Iran war. The war, unleashed by joint U.S. and Israeli air strikes on Iran two weeks ago, has disrupted global energy markets and transport, effectively shutting the Strait of Hormuz, the world's most important oil artery. DP World is one of the world’s largest port and logistics operators, operating in countries including Canada, Peru, India, and Angola. The company also reported a 43% increase in profit attributable to the owners of the company to $1.07 billion last year, largely due to strong performance of its ports and terminals.
